Slower Running / Hanging Of Nokia SmartPhone Moblies
Monday | Labels: Mobile, Troubleshooting | |This is a universal problem, Still faced by a majority of people. so thought to write some article on this topic.
There are various possible reasons why a SmartPhone hangs or works slow. in this article i'll outline some major and most probable reasons
INCOMPATIBLE SOFTWARE INSTALLATION:
In most of the cases my personal experience is that The first and basic reason is the installation of Incompatible softwares. Always Check if the software you are installing is compatible with your phone's OS and Series. Installing softwares of different Series will make your phone work slow or hang.
Many popular softwares come in different editions for different Series. Always check if the software you are installing is compatible with your phone.
EXCEEDING RAM LIMIT
Your phone Comes with limited RAM, unlike computers you can't upgrade it. So running Applications and Processes, more than your RAM can handle will make your fone Slow and it may hang.
To check your RAM's Condition, open FExplorer (Its a multi purpose Utility. if you havn't got it yet, Get it.) in the upper most part you'll see "free mem" this figure shows the current free share of RAM.
You might wonder how so much of your RAM is being used even if you are not running many active programs. The reason is that even if you are not running "active" programs there are many programs that run their threads as invisible processes. In the FExplorer's "Processes" you can see all the processes (including system's) that are currently running.
For temporary solution you might consider terminating some of useless processes.
Note:- there are many processes that are Critical for the system to run. terminating them will lead to system instability. so before terminating be sure what is that you are terminating
Try stopping the automatic startup of softwares that you don't frequently use.
VIRUSES
This may also be a reason behind the problem. Always install a good anti-V to put a check on malwares . Simwork's , Symantec's and F-Secure are some good options. While i personally prefer "Disinfector" Std Edition, its good in dealing with CommWarrior family
FIRMWARE UPGRADE:
If you are using your phone from a long time, you should upgrade its Firmware. Walk into any Service center of your phone's brand, they'll do the job.
